Summer Film Club continues Saturday 8th August
Our Summer season of three films come from Britain, USA, and Brazil. Showings are in St John’s Wood Church Hall, on Lord’s Roundabout NW8 7NE Doors open at 6pm for refreshments and a 6.30pm start. All are welcome, and we look forward to seeing you and bring your friends! Suggested donation £2, including refreshments.
We continue on Saturday 8th August with one of the great road movies and a must see – Central Station. In the Rio de Janeiro station, a lonely and embittered woman ekes out a living writing letters for illiterate customers, when an orphan boy persuades her to help him find his father, whom he has never seen. Very reluctantly she agrees and they set off on their journey of discovery (Cert 15).
