A warm welcome to Isla, our Sunday School Leader. Before joining us, Isla attended St Mark’s Hamilton Terrace, where she served as a Deanery Synod representative and was involved in church life through running the book group and concert series. Having been looking for a new church community in which to become involved, she is delighted to be leading our Sunday School.
She is particularly looking forward to getting to know the children and helping to create a welcoming and enjoyable environment where they can explore the Christian faith, ask questions and learn more about God together.
We are excited and expect to start the Sunday School in early December. We aim to hold a meeting for Volunteers and parents on 6th December.
We are also very grateful to the people who have already volunteered to help Isla with Sunday School. We would still, however, be very glad to hear from anyone else who might be willing to join the team. We would much rather have a larger pool of volunteers, even if some are only able to help occasionally.
As all volunteers need to complete the necessary safeguarding processes before they can join the rota, it would be particularly helpful to hear from you sooner rather than later. The processes are not onerous, but there is a long wait at present for checks to be made. If you might be willing to help, please email or speak to Gary or one of the Churchwardens.
