Did you enjoy the wonderful Christmas flowers? Many thanks and congratulations to Sue Starr (and to Laura and Judy, her able assistants). This picture was taken on Boxing Day, when Anders was passing in and out of the church throughout the day – and every time he came in, he found a member of the public sitting quietly in a pew, marvelling at the flowers, and soaking up the calm and stillness of the building.
The money for the Christmas flowers is generously given every year in memory of Eileen Moore (1908-2001), who loved our church and spent much time in it.
You too can learn the skills to make beautiful arrangements, at home or in church. Sue Starr, our lead flower-arranger (and at the moment one of our very few flower-arrangers) will run a teaching workshop in church on Saturday 14 March, 10-12. Absolute beginners welcome, male and female, as well as those who have tried their hand a little. Flowers and coffee provided. Put the date in your diary now!
