The recording of the fourth Lent talk is now available. In this session we discussed “canonical criticism”. We asked how the canon of sacred scripture was formed, and how we can read scripture as a unified whole with an overall message.

The next session of the Lent course will be on Sunday 6th April. This will be an in person session in Church in which we will read biblical texts and build on what has been discussed in the online session. There is no need to have listened to the online session. The next (and final) online talk will be at 8pm on Tuesday 8 April. We will look at feminist biblical criticism: how feminist scholars read scripture and respond to its patriarchal and liberative aspects. The code for every online session is the same:
