An audio recording of the first session of this course is now available. In this session, we discussed some introductory questions and also looked at allegorical reading of scripture which was prevalent until late Medieval times.

The next session of the Lent course will be at 1.15pm (note this is earlier than the previously advertised time) on Sunday 16th March. This will be an in person session in Church in which we will read biblical texts and build on what has been discussed in the online session. There is no need to have listened to the online session. The next online talk will be on Tuesday 18 March at 8pm (and at the same time each Tuesday in Lent), where we will look at “historical-critical” ways of reading the Bible. That will be followed on Sunday 23rd March by an in person session in Church at 3.30pm.
