Ash Wednesday is 5th March, There will be a Holy Communion Service at 8am and a Choral Eucharist at 6.30pm (both with imposition of ashes). At the 6.30pm service, the Mass setting is Victoria, Missa quatri toni and the motet is Farrant, Call to remembrance, O Lord.
There will be a lunchtime celebration of Holy Communion at 1.15pm every Thursday in Lent. You may also wish to stay on after this service for “Coffee in the Porch” at the usual time of 2pm.
Also in Lent, at 5pm every Sunday there will be a Zoom Compline service. St John’s Wood clergy and online visitors will reflect on a work of art, followed by the Office of Compline.
Our Lenten Course – “How can we read the Bible?” begins with an online session at 8pm on Tuesday 11th March. The course is a combination of on-Zoom and in person sessions. Across five Tuesday evenings from 8-9pm, on Zoom, Gary will introduce some very different ways of reading the Bible. This will be supplemented and put into practice by in person study of a particular text each Sunday at 3.30pm. These sessions will take place in Church. You can mix and match sessions as your diary allows.
